Greenkeepers' facility upgrade: Improving amenities and reducing environmental impact

In the winter of 2023/24, work commenced on the new greenkeepers' facilities as the existing 30-year-old building had become outdated and too small. With an expanding staff and fleet of equipment, it was essential to improve amenities and storage. Given our location on the Murlough Nature Reserve and an ASSI, our options were limited.

It was decided that expanding the existing facility would have the least environmental impact. The upgrade included a substantial extension, doubling the floor space, with modern amenities such as underfloor heating and full catering facilities. The existing building was renovated for better machinery storage and to create a safer, more comfortable workspace for our mechanics.
