John Murray
John Murray, Head Professional and Director of our Golf Operations Team, is a highly qualified PGA Professional who has recently earned the prestigious PGA Director of Golf Qualification. A native of Newcastle, John played to a +1 handicap before turning professional in 2010. That same year, he joined Portmarnock Golf Club as Senior Assistant, where he successfully completed his PGA training.
John returned to the Club in 2013, serving as Senior Assistant for eleven years. His expertise and dedication earned him the unique honour of being invited to Augusta National as support staff during the 2016 Masters. As a recognised teacher with a growing reputation in the sport, John provides exceptional coaching to our Members and guests, further enhancing their golfing experience.
Daniel Wright
Daniel has rejoined the team as Senior Assistant Professional to Head Professional John Murray after spending some time away from golf. He completed his PGA training with us and was a valued member of the golf operations and professional staff from 2013 to 2018. Daniel brings a wealth of experience and has a strong passion for retail management, coaching, and golf operations, having held several leadership roles in recent years.
Lee Campbell
Lee is our Senior Assistant Professional and joined the Professional team in 2021 upon completion of his PGA training. He has a keen interest in merchandising, junior coaching and has a real passion for putting. Lee coordinates many coaching camps throughout the year and gives lessons to golfers of all abilities.
He is a regular competitor on the Irish PGA circuit and hopes to continue competing in events throughout the year. Lee hopes to continue developing and is nearing completion of his PGA Director of Golf Qualification.
