Championship Links Course

Hole 5

A blind tee shot over a white stone in the distance, ideally with a fade.
The long hitter must be careful not to run out of fairway on the left and may decide on a fairway wood. Any shot right of the stone is in danger of catching one of the deep bunkers or nestling in the thick heather. From the fairway the second shot is to a well-protected green with a bunker to the left. Heather encroaches close to the right and rear of the fast green, which slopes up from the front and from right to left, new bunkers have been added to this hole.
Short putts are not easy and three putts are common here.
